Welcome to Community and Social
Action Plymouth
Community and Social Action Plymouth represents charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and social enterprises that make up the sector in Plymouth. We work with the Plymouth 2020 Partnership aiming to create sustainable and effective voluntary and community sectors (Third Sector) in the city, supported by high quality services. This includes practical support and strategic engagement to help shape local services, with involvement and influence in the planning commissioning and delivery of these services.
Our Vision
For a thriving Voluntary and Community Sector:
• in shaping and delivering public and local services
• supporting Plymouth 2020 Partnership priorities
• in the development of the City and its communities and groups
• and underpinned by high quality, accessible support services
How are we achieving this?
• Make CASAP an inclusive partnership reflecting the needs, concerns and ambitions of our members
• To support a Third Sector that is independent and sustainable through a diverse funding and community asset base
• Work towards the sector being vibrant and active in all parts of the City
• Support small organisations to sustain and develop their activities
• Equip Third Sector organisations to deliver, either on their own or jointly, public and other services in and with local communities
What we can do for you
• Provide practical help and guidance with business planning and funding advice
• Make sure your voice is heard on key matters for the sector
• Help you access training and support
• Keep you up to date with the latest news and research for your sector
